Borodino

Trip to Borodino (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Borodino / http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_at_Borodino_Field)
where Russia did battle with Napoleon and Hitler (obviously not at the same time).

Had to get up early for the 2 hour train ride out there but a stunning day and clean air was awesome.

Friday in Moscow

Plan is to leave Moscow March 4 on a train to St Petersburg, then train to Helsinki and a ferry to Tallinn.. I want to be in Chamonix for some late March skiing action.. Ordered my train tickets - A$2k for 3 months unlimited Euro train travel and I cannot wait!

Friday night in Moscow involved bowling starting at midnight which doesn't seem so strange now I've been here a few months.

Half way through Australia v Russia bowling - Australia won by 8 pins after 5 frames. Bowling was the real winner.

All over

I am leaving Moscow in early March as my contract has been cancelled. I plan to do some wider travel. For the next few months at least I'll be of no fixed address. Looking forward to it.
